In Our Community
There are so many worthy causes and organizations that need funding as well as volunteers and we believe that it’s important to give back as well as help raise awareness where we can. If you or someone you know would like more information on volunteering or on how to make donations, please click on this "Volunteer Now" link.
Aversboro Coffee is committed to making a positive difference in community and supports a variety of worthy causes and community organizations – it’s all part of being a good neighbor. Here are just a few that we currently support:
Angel Tree: We are teaming up with the Garner Mid-Day Rotary Club and the Backpack Buddies Program to bring the homeless children of our area a Merry Christmas and we need your help!! How can you help? Sponsor a child on our Angel Tree and/or drop your non-perishable food items at our store.
Able To Serve: Able to Serve is a pioneer in helping adults who have developmental disabilities get more out of life. Since 2003, they have been getting involved in their lives and helping them connect with our community. Able to Serve leads the way in using the day program format, and do it by building relationships with their local community friends.
Backpack Buddies Program: Sponsored by the Garner Mid-Day Rotary Club by providing food for homeless children in our area schools. Aversboro Coffee is an official drop site for non-perishable food items.
Jump for Hunger Fundraiser: part of the Backpack Buddies Program. To learn more or join the skydiving team or make a contribution. Click here. (This Event is Contingent on Participation)
SPCA of Wake County: mission is to protect, shelter and promote the adoption of homeless animals; to provide education about responsible pet ownership and to reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs.
Garner Grows Project: Aversboro Coffee donates all of the coffee grounds to the community garden. The grounds are considered by gardeners for the compost as being “green” material, containing nitrogen, a much needed nutrient for all green things. It provides great recycling use of the by-product from our coffee drinking and satisfies the greenery, so have another cup. Sponsored by Garner Grows Community Farm Garden.
Other Community Service Projects include:
Discounts: Teachers of Wake and Johnston Counties: receive a $1.00 off any latte every Tuesday. We appreciate the time and effort you put forth to give our children a brighter future. Thank you from all of us at Aversboro Coffee and Catering.
Military Service: We also have a wall featuring men and women that are currently serving in the military. We would be honored and add a photo of a loved one, family or friend, as we are all proud of them and pray for their safe return home.
